If you don't have plans, get yourself down to the James Center (between 9th and 12th on Cary St) at 5:45pm, so you can see the lights go on. Also going on is the Main Street Station Open House (1500 E. Main St) from 5:00pm-9:00pm where you will find train rides for the kids, live music, hot chocolate and cookies. Then make a trip to stop by the Poe Museum from 6:00pm-8:00pm(1914 East Main St) for their Enchanted Garden Illumination and enjoy some hot apple cider. All of these events are FREE! Photo credit.
