You know I love a tasting! Usually more so when they are free, but $15 to taste 8 wines isn't a bad deal. Plus you get to keep your special wineglass. I am a sucker to keepsakes. I have never been to James River Cellars Winery (11008 Washington Hwy, Glen Allen), but plan to check out their unique vertical tasting this weekend. They are sampling all Cab Francs (which is Virginia's best), but from 8 different years. Try the vintages from 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Tastings will take place from 10am-6pm on Saturday, Jan 22 and 11am-5pm on Sunday, Jan 23. Photo credit.
